Software Test Manager/Engineer

Your role

We are seeking a passionate Software Test Manager/Engineer to ensure the quality and reliability of our cutting-edge software products, ranging from naval tactical training systems to autonomous systems and IT infrastructure.

As a Software Test Manager/Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our naval tactical training systems and other software products. You will be responsible for planning, implementing, and overseeing the testing lifecycle to ensure products meet our high-quality standards. You will collaborate closely with developers, project managers and other stakeholders to deliver robust and scalable solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Test Strategy & Planning: Develop and implement comprehensive test strategies and plans that align with project goals and timelines.
  • Test Design: Design, develop, and execute manual and automated test cases based on requirements.
  • Automation: Work on test automation frameworks and scripts to increase testing efficiency and coverage.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with developers, project managers, and other teams to identify and resolve defects early in the development process.
  • Defect Management: Track and manage defects using bug tracking tools, ensuring they are prioritized, documented, and resolved.
  • Reporting & Metrics: Provide regular test progress reports, metrics, and quality assessments to stakeholders.
  • Continuous Improvement: Advocate for quality best practices, identifying opportunities to improve processes, tools, and team skills.
  • Requirements Validation & Customer Sign-Off: Facilitate customer acceptance testing to validate product requirements and obtain formal sign-off on product readiness.

Your profile

Requirements

  • Extensive experience in software testing methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, etc.).
  • Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Solid experience in manual and automated software testing.
  • Familiarity with bug tracking tools (e.g., Azure DevOps or Jira).
  • Understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Desirable Skills

  • Hands-on experience with automation tools (e.g., Selenium, MsTest, Coded UI test, etc.).
  • Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., LoadRunner, JMeter).
  • Knowledge of scripting- and programming languages (e.g., JavaScript, PowerShell scripting, or C#.
